Nine Months Before Christmas

1) The Virgin Birth Is Scriptural
Isa. 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isa.9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
Mat.1:18-21 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

2) Man’s Blood Was Polluted
Gen.2:7,16-17 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul… 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Eze.16:6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.
3) The Virgin Birthed a New Adam
1Cor.15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
Gen.3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”
4) The Sacrificial Lamb, Innocent Blood Shed for the Guilty
John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Mat.27:3-4 Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.”
5) The Precious Blood of Jesus Analyzed
Lev.17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the Blood
a) Righteousness – Rom.5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him.
b) Continual Cleansing - 1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
c) The Blood Speaks – Heb.12:24 You have come to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
d) Healing - 1Pet.2:24 Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
e) Protection - 1Cor.5:7 Christ our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us.
f) Restoration – Zec.9:11-12 “As for you also,Because of the blood of your covenant,I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.12 Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope.Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.
g) Complete – Heb.13:20-21 Now may the God of peace who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with His blood—21 may He equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him. All glory to Him forever and ever! Amen.
h) Access Granted – Heb.10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
i) Deliverance – Col.1:13-14 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
j) Covenant With God - Luke 22:19-20 Then he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And in the same way he took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.
